Burgundy 2006: Faiveley

Price Per Case (in bond)
Mercurey la Framboisiere 2006, Faiveley £125.00
Situated on the south east facing slopes along side one of the best known 1er Cru, Clos des Myglands, the rich soils and perfect aspect yield a dense, fruit filled Pinot that drinks well in its youth. Supple and concentrated, this is a wine to match the Pinot upstarts from New Zealand and Oregon, but at a more favourable price. 2008 to 2011.
Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Porets Saint Georges 2006, Faiveley £285.00
Faiveley owns a the southern third of Porets, close to the greatest parcels of the village, les Saint Georges and Vaucrains. Another delicious, and very typical Nuits, this little area of Nuits does seem to be a hotbed of truly great wines in 2006. Good depth of colour and flavour, ripe tannins and some classic Pinot acidity results in a wine for keeping here. 2017 to 2024.
Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru les Saint Georges 2006, Faiveley £399.00
Genuinely fine example of this great wine showing power, muscular tannin, fine acids, cassis, cherry, blueberry and spice. Soft vanilla toast finish with great length and supreme complexity. Wonderful. 2020 to 2031.
