Marchesi L. & P. Antinori Vermentino 2006, Bolgheri (6)Wonderfully fresh Vermentino from one of Italy's greatest proponents of this grape. A beautifully balanced wine with fragrances of blossom, pear drop and white peach on the nose and a dry but concentrated palate of white peach, pear, stone minerals and hints of powdery bon bon sweets on the finish. Lovely acid and fruit harmony shape this wine from the famous Guado al Tasso estate in Bolgheri, home to some of Italy's greatest reds and whites.
