Quinta da Coa Tinto Reserva 2004, Douro (6)From the superb 2004 vintage, the Coa Reserva offers up extra depth and complexity and far greater concentration on the mid palate with dark broody black berry and plum notes and hints of black cherry. Velvety tannins and soft fresh acidity frame the wine. More power and length than the straight cuvee from the estate's parcels of older vines grown in the Douro Superiore, only about 1 hour from the Spanish border. Recently awarded a "Best Buy" rating by Wine Spectator and scored 90/100.
