Clearview Estate Old Olive Block Blend 2005, Hawkes Bay (6)Super dark fruited wine with a classical nose of warm cedar, black berry spice, buttered brown toast and violets. The palate is dense, dark and broody with cassis and salty licorice nuances and a long concentrated finish. The oak is beautifully integrated and tastes expensive. This is a top class Bordeaux style blend that sits comfortably alongside the other great reds of Hawks Bay like Alpha Domus' Aviator.
