Pol Roger Vintage Brut 1998 (6)At our recent blind Champagne tasting (2007), this wine, along with the Pol Roger 1998 Blanc de Blancs, was a star wine outperforming many more luxurious prestige cuvees at double the price. The 1998 is rated excellent in Champagne and while it is perhaps crisper and more taught than the super lush 1996, it has plenty of fruit concentration and mineral depth.
