Riesling Reserve Alsace 2005, F.E. TrimbachThe ProducerBased in beautiful Ribeauvillé, the house of Trimbach was established in 1626. Pierre takes charge of wine making and brother, Jean Trimbach, who has kindly hosted tastings for us in the past, looks after the marketing. All aspects of the business are overseen by the family and the jewel I the crown is one of my favourite white wines, Riesling Clos Ste. Hune.The WineClassic vintage in France. Alsace is no exception. Ripe and minerally wines with good concentration and dry extract. The Riesling Reserve delivers up liquid minerals, lemon and lime citrus and a chalky terroir finish.
