Handford Wines

Based in beautiful Ribeauvillé, the house of Trimbach was established in 1626. Pierre takes charge of wine making and brother, Jean Trimbach, who has kindly hosted tastings for us in the past, looks after the marketing. All aspects of the business are overseen by the family and the jewel I the crown is one of my favourite white wines, Riesling Clos Ste. Hune.

The Wine

Beautifully crisp fresh white with complex nuances of white apples, pear drop and white flowers. Lovely aromatics stream out the glass and a crisp dry minerality is framed by a juicy tart pear fruit acidity. One of the better examples on the market and a wine with a big following.
