Pinot Noir in many respects has been regarded as a side show in South Africa. For Peter Finlayson, by contrast, it's an enduring passion and a personal crusade that he's pursued with vigour and brio for more than two decades, latterley on his immaculate domaine in the hemel-en-Aarde Valley. While a family trust under Stanley and Bea Tollman has taken ownership of the property, shareholder Finlayson remains the winemaker and driving force behind the classical wines. Bouchard Finlayson offers cool climate terroir driven wines that reflect the vineyards they are grown in and the vintage variables that have shaped the structure of the wines, in many ways not unlike Peter's role models of Burgundy. These are wines that carry an aura of grandeur, elegance and finesse. A world class range.

The Wine

Flagship white imbued with, like the rest of the range, individuality. This must be the most classically styled wine in the line up. A thrilling wine with gorgeous mineral, lemon delicacy spotlighted by careful oaking. Youthfully tight yet penetrating. Wine is barrel fermented and has 100% Malolactic fermentation. Only around 650 cases produced. A triumph of balance and finesse.
