la Guerrerie Rouge, Cheverny 2006, Clos du Tue-Boeuf (6)The ProducerLe Clos du Tue-Boeuf is an old vineyard in the village of Les Montils in the Loire Valley’s Cheverny appellation that belongs to the Puzelat brothers. Famed for their individual style of wines, the Puzelat Brothers have been lauded by most the the top wine critics on both sides of the Atlantic.The WineLa Guerrerie, a blend of 70% Cot (Malbec) and 30% Gamay fruit that shows wonderful aromatics on the nose, with some weight on the palate and enough tannin to make it toothsome and suggest a long life ahead. A wonderful wine for a picnic on a beautiful day (and frankly a wonderful wine for any occasion at all). We can't recommend this wine highly enough and it is a screaming bargain at its price!
