Springfield Estate Life From Stone Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Robertson (6)Who said New World producers did not know how to show terroir in their wines?! This Sauvignon Blanc is a splendid effort from Abrie Bruwer, grown on chalky, stoney soils shows lovely mineral purity reminicent of the Loire Valley wines. Freshness of acidity is retained due to the cool climate influences of the Altantic breezes which reduce heat stress and allow slightly slower ripening. A classy wine at a reasonable price.
