Chablis Grand Cru les Clos 2007, Alain GeoffroyAlain Geoffroy is a well known Chablis producer. His Bourgogne Pinot Noir is of real interest since it is from a chiefly white wine area. However he has sourced fruit from a small producer with vineyards around the village Coulanges La Vineuse just south of Chablis and also near the historic town of Vezelay. Perhaps with global warming good Pinot Noir seems to be being produced further north and there is increasing interest in the few as yet red wines produced to meet a demand for reasonably priced lighter reds.
