The only noble late harvest botrytis Semillon produced in the Douro, that we know of! At a recent anniversary dinner with the shipper, this wine was served along side 2004 Chateau d'Yquem and at several points in the evening, both the producer and the guests could not tell the wines apart once glasses had been shuffled around the table! This wine is dense, textural and everything a great Sauternes should be, except its from the Douro! Serve it with confidence to your most snobbish guests and they will be enthralled!
