Chateau Beausejour Duffau Lagarosse 2000, Saint Emilion Grand Cru65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Opulent and opaque purple/black and just showing a little spice, blackberry and vanilla on the nose. But this is gloriously pure to taste and offers a fine combination of ripe berry and cherry fruit, supple and sense texture, firm but balanced tannin and acids and the minerality that seems to be the hallmark of Duffau. Clear, fine and well proportioned, this is one for the very long term. 2010 to 2025.
