Cognac Frapin is a unique Cognac house in many ways. At its heart is the beautiful Chateau Fontpinot which is surrounded by three hundred hectares of prime vineyards in the Grande Champagne the very finest area in the Cognac region, near the town of Segonzac. The business is owned by the Cointreau family with Max Cointreau at its head. In his time they have owned Champagne Krug and Cointreau but now just own Frapin and Gosset Champagne! All the fruit is sourced from their own vineyards exclusively and aged and distilled at their own properties. From the basic V.S upwards these Cognacs have a real purity of fruit and good complexity. I highly recommend them to you. Domaine Frapin is an X.O Cognac even though not stating it on the label, with an average age of 15-20 years. It is aged in "wet cellars" and a mohogany amber colour and a long rich palate.
