Emilio Lustau Don Nuno Dry Oloroso, Jerez (6)
The Producer
The original company was founded in 1896 by Don José Ruiz-Berdejo as an almacenista (a moorish word for warehouse or stockholder), i.e. a small, traditional family business producing and ageing sherries. In the 1940s, his son-in-law Don Emilio Lustau Ortega expanded the business while keeping its
role as an almacenista. Lustau's own solera system, based on stocks begun at Lustau's inception as an almacenista itself at the turn of the century.
The Wine
Superbly round, nutty and dry, this is a wonderful aged oloroso that tastes like sheer heaven accompanied by a few salted peanuts, almonds or green olives. 90/100 GWS - IWC Gold
Single Bottle: £10.99
In a case of 12: £10.44
