Ruinart Rose NV (37.5cl Bottle)
The Producer
At the beginning of the 18th century, Dom Thierry Ruinart observed the work of his friend, Dom Pérignon and passed on the knowledge to his nephew, Nicolas Ruinart. In 1729 the first Champagne house was born.
Nicolas’ son Claude moved the cellars to the present day site, perhaps the most impressive in the region as it boasts so many of the Romano Gallic chalk pits (“Crayères”), where wines are matured in perfect conditions. Successive generations of the Ruinart family have overseen the production of fine quality Champagnes and travelled extensively to tempt the world with their wares.
For more than two and a half centuries the Champagnes created by the House of Ruinart have been carefully developed, according to traditional methods, in the stillness and coolness of the magnificent crayères, which are classified as a historic monument. Visits can be arranged by appointment – telephone 03 26 77 51 51
The Wine
Ruinart make one of the smartest Rose Champagnes on the market. Unique in every way, this wine is not like the run of the mill Roses. It has a delicate nose of pot pourrie spice, cloves and strawberry. Elegantly dry, this wine has good intensity and length and is perfect for all occasions.
Single Bottle: £21.95
In a case of 12: £20.85
