Pinot Noir Reserve Alsace 2001, F.E. TrimbachThe ProducerBased in beautiful Ribeauvillé, the house of Trimbach was established in 1626. Pierre takes charge of wine making and brother, Jean Trimbach, who has kindly hosted tastings for us in the past, looks after the marketing. All aspects of the business are overseen by the family and the jewel I the crown is one of my favourite white wines, Riesling Clos Ste. Hune.The WineVery pure delicate red fruited Pinot not totally dissimilar to Cotes de Beaune versions in the more elegant and feminine Burgundy style, where less is more.
