Riesling Cuvee Frederic Emile Alsace 2003, F.E. Trimbach (6)The ProducerBased in beautiful Ribeauvillé, the house of Trimbach was established in 1626. Pierre takes charge of wine making and brother, Jean Trimbach, who has kindly hosted tastings for us in the past, looks after the marketing. All aspects of the business are overseen by the family and the jewel I the crown is one of my favourite white wines, Riesling Clos Ste. Hune.The WineFine minerals and lime fruit notes combine with chalky lemon and white peach of pure Alsace Riesling to reveal one of the best whites from France and from one of the best vintages in recent memory.
