Ramos Pinto Late Bottled Vintage 2000 (6)The ProducerThe house of Adriano Ramos Pinto was founded in 1880 and acquired recently by Champagne Louis Roederer. They now own four quintas which provide all their fruit. An unswerving dedication to improving quality has resulted in successive promotion towards the top echelons of the Oporto trade. The 1983 and 1994 vintages are outstanding as is the vintage character wine, Quinta da Urtiga.The WineDelicious and so approachable from this top vintage this has just been released in the Autumn of 2006. Ramos Pinto always have a very distinctive style of fragrant sweet soft perfumed fruits. This is a traditional Late Bottled Vintage port and while not having the concentration of some has great appeal.
