Lake Chalice Pinot Noir 2005, MarlboroughPure and clean fruited with plenty of elegance. Mid palate shows earthy raisony black fruit, with a sweet soft finish. Just the affordable style of Pinot that has helped put NZ on the quality map. Not overly complex at this stage as fruits are more primary and pure, but there is lovely balance suggesting a year or 2 in bottle will add significantly to this wine.
