"Pangea is the perfect expression of two continents joined together; a premium Syrah from the Apalta vineyards of Ventisquero and the renowned Australian winemaker, John Duval of Penfolds Grange fame. Joining cultures, philosophy and a passion for wine." Pangea is an ultra premium wine with the finest combination of concentration, flavour and aromas. With an intensely dark colour, this wine stands out for its particular complexity and encircling aromas, maintaining the character of the Syrah grapes cultivated in the Apalta vineyards, with notes of red berries and violets, harmoniously mingling with spices from the touch of Cabernet Sauvignon (10%), with elegant fragrant notes of espresso, butterscotch and cacao. Ripe concentrated grapes result in a big, full bodied wine that is aged for 18 months in French oak and then another 12 months in bottle to emphasize the balance. A wine with excellent purity, vibrancy and elegance of fruit. An Icon wine in the making. Colchagua Valley, Apalta vineyards with grantic and red clay soils at 250m above sea level. Fruit was picked between the 15th April until the 28th April 2004. This wine can be drink now or aged up to 15 years.
