Craggy Range Te Kahu Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot 2004, Grimblett GravelsThe 2004 Te Kahu Vineyard is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-picked, de-stemmed and matured for 19 months in 55% new oak. It has a very attractive nose of blackberry, cigar box with a touch of mint, the palate medium-bodied with chewy tannins, notes of raspberry leaf, cedar and leather towards the finish. An approachable wine that should age nicely over 5-8 years.
