Chinon 2004, Marc BredifWhat a surprise vintage. We expected cool, dark and broody black cassis and cedary fruit but the concentration and creamy texture of this wine is sensational. After the warm ripe 2003s, the 04 vitnage is classical but open knit, dense fruited with a long savoury black fruit spice finish. Not green hints or herbaceous tones in sight! A really great effort.
