French for truth, Verite vinifies red Bordeaux varietals from micro-crus - specific sites within Sonoma County's finest mountain vineyards that are often composed of only a few rows of vines. Vigneron Pierre Seillan refers to the droit du sol or "right of the soil" and its convergence with winemaking to produce real terroir wines of distinction.

The Wine

Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauvignon blend made in a St Emilion style with fine opulence and a dense, dark colour and red fruits featuring cassis, plum and cranberry along with notes of dusty gravel and black pepper, anise and graphite. Firm but ripe tannins will soften with decanting and integrate wonderfully with the fruit and minerallity. 16 Months barrel aging in 100% new French oak. 14.7 Abv, 49.2% Merlot, 46.9% Cabernet Franc, 3.8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 0.1% Malbec.
