Piper's Brook Pinot Noir 2004, Tasmania (6)

The Producer

Piper’s Brook, at the north east tip of Tasmania is well known as Australia’s leading cool climate region. The weather conditions and soils are similar to those of Burgundy and Alsace, where co-founder and winemaker, Andrew Pirie gained much of his early experience. Beginning in 1974, the emphasis is on vineyard location and viticulture techniques. Indeed the rows of vines appear manicured and geometrically perfect. Fruit is harvested at night to give optimum juice temperature at crushing.

The Wine

Classy dark fruited Pinot from the most famous winery in Tasmania. Lush and ripe but still elegant and classy. Cool climate style that is very similar to a village wine from the Cotes de Nuits in Burgundy.

Single Bottle: £16.99
In a case of 12: £16.14
