Master of Wine
James founded Handford Wines in 1989. The aim was to bring wines of character, charm and a true representation of their origin to the good people of Holland Park. When the opportunity arose to take over the old site of La Vigneronne in South Kensington it was an easy decision; even finer wines flowed but the philosophy of tasting the difference remains. James became an MW in 1994, one of the youngest Masters at the time.
