Wednesday 22nd April

2005 is seen as one of Burgundies greatest Red vintages in modern times. Surprisingly tannic at birth it has taken nearly 15 years to start to see them at their best and one imagines these will be also be wines to keep a few years on as well. Hugely successful throughout the region, as indeed with most of France.
We will be tasting the following….
Beaune Teurons (Bouchard), Aloxe Corton 1er Cru clos du chapitre (Follin-Arbelet), Volnay Clos de la Rougeotte (Henri Boillot), Pommard Epenots (De Courcel), Nuits Saint Georges G Laviers (J. Grivot), Nuits Saint Georges Chaignots (H, Gouges), Nuits Saint Georges Vaucrains (Jean Chauvenet), Clos St. Denis (G. Lignier), Vougeot 1er Cru Les Petits Vougeot (Christian Clerget) & Vosne Romanee Suchots (Virgile Lignier).
