Description

Valdobbiadene is the section of hills outside of Treviso home to the best Prosecco in Italy. The steep slopes known as ‘Rive’ and calcareous soil allow the Glera grape to fully develop it’s aromatics and install a pronounced finish on the resulting wines.

Adami sources Glera from many hillside vineyards in order to craft a wine with pretty florals of jasmine, elderflower and white peach against a dry palate of pear and white stone. A sophisticated Prosecco.

Producer Information: Adami Prosecco

In 1920, Abel, the grandfather of the current owners, purchased a natural amphitheatre vineyard in The Alta Marca area near Treviso; that has been renowned for its excellent wine as far back as the Middle Ages.
Carrying on the family tradition, Adriano Adami continued in his father’s footsteps, making a name for the winery’s quality Prosecco on the local market. The 1980s saw the arrival of the third generation, with the newly qualified oenologists Armando and Franco Adami, combining family traditions with specialization and technology.
The brand now has a solid international reputation and produces about 750,000 bottles with grapes from 50 hectares of vineyards, 12 of their own land, the rest farmed by other small growers with time-honored links to the winery. They all share a commitment to top quality fruit with Adami showing a Cartizze and Rive wines in their portfolio.
