Blended by Bartholomew Broadbent as a tribute to his late father. Michael was, of course the great auctioneer and vinous polymath that we all knew and loved. The style is a little deliberately subdued, elegant and more along the lines of a great Bordeaux than a heavy Napa Cab. Fruits are cool, bilberry, blueberry and cassis that are balanced by notes of cedar, green tea, soft oak and ripe tannin. 5% of Petit Verdot gives a firm but fair finish to a wonderful tribute.
