Description
The domain rests in the rolling hills of the Mâconnais, at the crossroads of the picturesque towns of Chaintré, Chânes & Leynes. Château de Lavernette was founded in 1596 and today biodynamically makes Pouilly-Fuissé and Beaujolais from their estate vineyards that drape the hillsides next to the winery.
Perfumed aromas of ripe red orchard fruits blended with strawberry and rhubarb. On the palate, cherry, redcurrant, strawberry, spices, with a silky palate followed by supple and fine tannins. This is an great, easy-drinking example of village Beaujolais.
