Description
6 Bottle Pack.
The next in our Bordeaux Wine Month celebrations, this is a fantastic case of wines from the 'Petits Chateaux' – the small producers that make great wines from outside the 'big name' areas. We've put six of these fantastic wines all in one pack. Each one of them below £26.
You'll get one bottle of:
– Grand Bateau Blanc 2021 Bordeaux (White)
100% Sauvignon, this wine has a lovely fresh, jack-in-the-box nose with superb definition and minerality. Subtle hints of lime, a touch of pear and wet limestone.
– Le Petit Leon 2019 Bordeaux
50% Cabernet Sauvignon / 50% Merlot. Impressive balance and an all round generous personality with a vibrant fresh tangy persistence. A delicious wine from a block buster vintage.
– Chateau Cap Leon Veyrin 2019 Listrac-Medoc
Beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon lines, a chiselled texture and fine mineral, gravelly tannins. And with 93-94 pts given by James Suckling this is extraordinary value!
– Chateau Marsau 2017, Francs Côtes de Bordeaux
Pure Merlot, with a core of red fruits, green, leafy herbs and sweet cassis with liquorice and cocoa. From an estate described by Robert Parker as "the Pétrus of the Côtes des Francs".
– Chateau les Charmes Godard 2016 Francs Cotes de Bordeaux
Polished black fruits of Merlot with the boldness of Cabernet Franc. Made in a generous style by Nicholas Thienpont, giving it a fine pedigree, as he is also the man behind Pavie Macquin and Larcisse Ducasse.
– Château Grand Village 2019 Fronsac
Offering up aromas of cherries, wild berries, petals and sweet spices, the 2019 Grand Village is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with lively acids, powdery tannins and a long, mineral finish. It's a brilliant wine that makes a mockery of the traditional appellation hierarchy. (93pts WK, Wine Advocate)
