Description
Along with the lieus dits of les Condemennes and Clos de l’Orme this is one of the finest vineyards in the Cotes de Nuits not to be of 1er Cru status. The Clergets have 12 tiny parcels in what is already a small vineyard. They are largely planted north to south as the land slopes down from 1er Cru aux Echanges. The first blast of early morning sun to this east facing land gets the plants going and results in a wine of power and muscle. A chewy and masculine red and, unlike the rest of this fine range, it will need a few extra years. 2028 to 2035.
