Description
Listrac is a lesser known region with some of the highest elevations in the Medoc. Nestled in between Margaux and St Julien, it produces great wines at a price usually far lower than its neighbours. And the Château Cap Léon Veyrin 2016 is no exception.
From the marvellous 2018 vintage, it is a left-bank Bordeaux with, unusually, a predominance of Merlot. It has a garnet red colour with violet hues. The nose reveals intense aromas of black fruits, cherries and blackberries. The finish is remarkable for its length and its seductive flavours. Very soft tannins, ripe fruit, a few touches of herbs and a lot of drinkability.
