Description
65% CS, 31% M, 3.5% CF, 0.5% PV. Merlots were picked very late here (last week in September and at the same time as Petit Verdot, which is very rare). Incredibly deep and opaque in colour. Closed nose but with heady, ripe tannins this is one of the boldest, forthright wines in structure. The purity and natural fruit feel takes some working at but there is gold at the end of this 'ere rainbow. Just what I would hope to find in a great Médoc, this will mature well over three decades.
