Poggio Valente is the younger brother of Saffredi, made in the Maremma, Southern Tuscany. A single-vineyard situated near Scansano, the Sangiovese vines here are all fifty years old, providing immense concentration and intensity. They sit around 300m above sea level, the altitude and sea breezes providing a moderating influence, creating a supremely elegant and supple Sangiovese.
