Pure, precise and stony nose that shows coolish but concentrated white fruit intermixed with notes of gray slate. Silky, lush, persistently salty and piquant, this is an impressive, perfectly balanced wine with lush, refined and elegant fruit and a spectacular long and stimulating finish. (95pts RP)

Chalky and flinty on the rich and spicy yet pure, refreshing, deep and fruity nose. Silky textured, fresh and elegant on the palate, this is a complex, structured, very elegant and juicy but linear and persistently mineral. (17.5/20, Jancis Robinson)
– Schloss Johannisberg Silberlack Riesling Trocken GG 2021 Rheingau
From the wonderful, cool, calm 2021 vintage. Enormous crushed-rock minerality, with delicate spice and just a hint of oak on the compact yet sleek palate. (97pts, James Suckling)
