Description
The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin has a floral, rose-petal-scented bouquet that is a little charmer at this prenatal moment. The palate is crisp and taut on the entry. This is a mineral-driven Gevrey-Chambertin with a stony heart, but there is an engaging silky finish that rounds this off nicely. This is the kind of Gevrey that should turn out to be one I want accompanying dinner rather than on its own, just to counterbalance its severity.
