Description
The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Lavaux St. Jacques was one of the last to be picked and it sees no new oak. It has a very elegant bouquet with more black fruits emerging from the glass along with forest floor and wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with fine and supple tannins. There is more substance here than the village cru with quite a solid, candied finish with hints of orange rind developing in the glass. This is a lovely, very refined Lavaux St. Jacques.
