Set up in the 1930s this estate is into its 5th generation. Led by Pierre Duroche it has extensive holdings in Gevrey Chambertin including four grand crus. They are up amongst the top Gevrey producers. And through his wife they now have Vosne Romanee and Echezeaux fruit under the Pierre & Marianne Duroche label.
It makes perfect sense that Pierre is an avid climber. His wines have an understated power, strength and elegance.
A classical style with a sensibly restrained amount of oak that allows the wines to express their individuality.
