Monte da Ravasqueira has been linked to the Jose de Mello family for several generations. Located in the municipality of Arraiolos, the estate occupies a vast area of typical Alentejan landscape. The excellent geological conditions and the climate are well suited to the production of some of the best wine that the Alentejo has to offer. The vineyards are located on Sandy loam soils with a rocky influence. Grapes mechanically harvested during the night.
A blend of Trincadeira (25%), Aragonez (25%), Syrah (25%) & Alicante Bouschet (25%), this wine shows a dark red colour with violet tones. An exuberant nose with a varietal expression of Syrah. Notes of red fruit, spices and chocolate. Bulky attack with menthol notes. When tasted, it is elegant, with persistent and elegant tannins. Long and harmonious ending. A red full of personality.
