Description
The domain rests in the rolling hills of the Mâconnais, at the crossroads of the picturesque towns of Chaintré, Chânes & Leynes. Château de Lavernette was founded in 1596 and today makes Pouilly-Fuissé and Beaujolais from their estate vineyards that drape the hillsides next to the winery.
"Vers Chane" is a wonderfully natural style of Chardonnay – stepping beyond orchard fruits, the wine is reminiscent of green banana and summer crops, with the oak contributing baking spice and nutmeg. Best sipped and appreciated or with more delicate seafood and vegetarian dishes.
