Description

6 bottle pack.

We have discovered the last few cases of treats from some of South Africa's most acclaimed estates in one of the most sought-after vintages: 2015- a vintage Parker rated as 'extraordinary'!

The 2015 vintage was a gift for South African winemakers, the growing season was warm and dry throughout the regions with no real heat spikes. This was a lovely even ripening season producing great fruit that when given enough time on the vine produced wines with a delicious phenolic ripeness. Definitely one of the great recent vintages.

You'll get one bottle each of:

Vilafonte Series C 2015 – Notes of blueberry, cassis, and mulberry fruits interwoven with violets, graphite, mocha and cedary oak spice, It delivers velvety tannins and a sort of Napa finesse.

Vilafonte Series M 2015 – This gives a beautiful spiced plum character, with sweet spice. This is brilliant and intense, with a nod to some of the greatest Pomerols.

Keermont Amphitheatre Red Blend 2015 – Bordeaux styled blend of 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, 22% Merlot, 17% Petit Verdot, 5% Malbec and 1% Syrah. Red and black berries plus more mature notes of leather and malt on the nose while the palate is rich and full with lots of succulent fruit and smooth tannins.

Raats MR de Compostella 2015 – A blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec. Perfumed notes of fresh violets that melt away to reveal ripe, intense notes of crème de cassis, cherry kirsch liquor and damson plum. 5 stars Platter Guide 2018

Meerlust Rubicon 2015 – 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot, with dark bramble fruit, cassis, plum, incense and liquorice, and slowly offering cigar box, crushed stone and subtle oak spice.

De Toren Z 2015 – A Right-Bank Bordeaux-style blend with aromas of ripe black cherry, mulberries, blueberries, with wafts of aniseed, cigar box and black tea. Soft, velvety tannins.
