As winter says a slow goodbye and sunnier days approach, we've selected some great wines to enjoy either indoors or outdoors.
You'll get one bottle each of:
– Artelium Pinot Gris 2020, England – a single vineyard wine made from grapes grown and handpicked in West Sussex. An aromatic, approachable white with flavours of white peach, orange zest and lime.
– Rall Wines Grenache Blanc 2018, South Africa – Complex, fresh and pure with yellow stone fruits, white flowers and white peach. Tim Aitkin gave this 93 points.
– Chablis Vieilles Vignes 2018 Domaine Defaix – candied citrus fruits floating on the tongue and balanced by the crisp minerality that is the hallmark of great Chablis. Outstanding and delicious summer white.
– Bourgogne Aligote 2021 Philippe Chavy – grapes from just south of Puligny Montrachet giving a more classic, nervy and pure Aligoté. There’s a light note of lime marmalade and a lively zing on the finish.
– Casanuova di Nittardi 'La Doghessa' 2019 Chianti Classico – Purple red colour. Intense red and black fruit characte. Ripe cherries and blackberries dominate, with exotic spices and well integrated oak notes.
– Kloster Eberbach Pinot Noir 'Edition S' 2018, Rheingau, Germany – classic gamey and savoury aromas with lightly perfumed, red berry notes. Delicate wild strawberry and bramble characters on the palate.
