Summer is here! So we've put together a couple of mixed selections of wines to sit outside with while you soak up the sun. A deck chair, sunglasses and a nicely chilled bottle of wine… what more could you want?
For Summer Selection Pack 1, you'll get:
– 2 bottles of Petit Saint Jacques Blanc 2019, Minervois – an exotic white in the Rhone style from Vermentino and Viognier. Aromatic on the attack with a focus on freshness and zesty citrus fruit. There is a roundness on the palate of white peaches and cassia flowers. Fully certified as organic. Simply lovely.
– 2 bottles of Val di Toro Annas Secret Rosato 2019, Maremma, Tuscany – a gorgeous pale pink wine made in an understated style. It reveals attractive red cherry fruit notes as well as nuances of dried herbs and dusty chalky minerals. The palate is lively, with a linear fresh acidity and seamless textural elegance. Supremely drinkable!
– 2 bottles of Naudé Concrete Egg Chenin Blanc 2018, South Africa – naturally fermented with wild yeasts in a concrete egg without any additions whatsoever. This impressive Chenin Blanc builds in the mouth to reveal layers of pineapple pastille fruits, fresh hay, crunchy green apples and a complex stony minerality on the finish. A truly versatile wine for all cuisines and all occasions.
