Another great wine from our dear friend Anna over at Val di Toro. We have been importing this for the last couple of years and this might be the best vintage of the Vermentino.
Brilliant yellow with light golden reflexes. Aromas of lime juice, pome and green exotic fruits. There is an initial herbaceous layer that connotes halophytes, reflecting Anna’s coastal vineyards. Small additions of Grechetto bring in pome and green exotic fruits that balance well against the slightly salty character. The taste is harmonic and fresh and its acidity perfectly balanced with fullness and roundness of taste. The minerality is remarkable and typical of the Mediterranean terrain that is the home of this wine.
