Description
Desaunay-Bissey is an underrated Burgundy producer, with a father-in-law and son-in-law duo, working sustainably with a terroir-centric approach to their winemaking. The vineyards are harvested by hand, and made with the old-school Burgundian approach that is far less common nowadays, featuring a light extraction, natural yeast fermentation, and never more than 1/3 new oak.
An incredible Vosne Romanee coming from a domaine where vines can be more than 80 years old, Bruno bottles without any filtration or fining to express both the force and inimitable finesse of Pinot, a real iron fist in a velvet glove.
