Ageing Cheaper Wines Virtual Tasting - Thursday 28th January

Ageing Cheaper Wines Virtual Tasting - Thursday 28th January

with James Handford MW
Handford at Home Virtual Tasting Series #2
Thursday 28th January 2021
6.30 to 7.15pm

How long can I keep this?? Or, when should I drink this??

Ageing wine. It’s a bit of a myth that wine for laying down has to be expensive. James will pick 6 classic, but maybe unexpected wines, from around Europe that will benefit from a few years in bottle. As well as a few well chosen words on each wine and its region, we will explain how and why wines mature in bottle and when is the best time to enjoy them. Of course, there is no secret formula but James has some simple (well, not too tricky!) logic to pass on.

Part of our Virtual Tasting Series, each month we host a themed tasting designed to enhance your understanding and enjoyment of wine. We stress the importance of understanding wine culture, history and tradition by tasting and anecdotes. This is informal, intuitive and inspirational.

We will be sending out tasting kits with six wine samples and handy information to help you through the evening. All you will need is some glasses and access to Zoom.
