Description
Composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the 2009 reached the highest levels of polyphenols ever measured at Lynch Bages (20% higher than any prior vintage), and achieved a modest 13.4% natural alcohol. The complex, dense, multi-layered palate is dense and sweet and packed with crunchy, leafy red and black berry fruits, cassis and red plum. The perfume lift too is spectacular and highly appealing, combining intriguingly with exotic, grapey, cherry, cassis notes. Importantly, there are super fresh acids around a tightly wound core. Probably the greatest Lynch Bages since the outstanding duo of 1989 and 1990. Drink from 2018 to 2045+
